The Chicago White Sox place Orlando Hudson on the D.L.
The White Sox have placed 34-year old switch-hitting infielder Orlando Hudson on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to August 16th due to a bruised left toe. Hudson has played in 36 games for the Pale Hose so far this year and he is 20 for 110 (.182 avg, .516 OPS) with 7 runs scored, 1 homer, 11 RBIs and 1 stolen base. He has now played in 71 games overall for the White Sox and Padres this year and he is 46 of 233 (.197 avg, .548 OPS) with 18 runs scored, 2 homers, 22 RBIs and 4 stolen bases. The White Sox won’t likely miss him too much while he’s out of action.
