Chris Sale has been downright nasty for the Chicago White Sox

The White Sox toyed with the idea of making 23-year old lefty Chris Sale the closer due to a sore left elbow, before deciding to keep him in the rotation….which seems like it was a smart move. Sale has pitched in 7 games (6 starts) so far in May & June in which he is 5-1 with a 1.77 ERA and a 0.91 WHIP! He has now pitched in 11 games (10 starts) overall this year for the Pale Hose and he is 7-2 with a 2.30 ERA and a 0.98 WHIP. If the White Sox didn’t have an innings limit on Sale this year, I really think he would make a strong run for the Cy Young Award.
