Trayce Thompson is having a rough time in the minors this year for the Chicago White Sox

21-year old righty swinging outfielder Trayce Thompson came into this season as the White Sox’ #3 prospect according to Baseball America. He is having a rough time in A-ball so far this year. Thompson has played in 50 games in A-ball so far this year and he is 40 for 187 (.214 avg, .737 OPS) with 30 runs scored, 6 homers, 32 RBIs and 8 stolen bases. He has now played in 276 games in his first four years in the minors and he is 234 of 1,022 (.229 avg, .738 OPS) with 163 runs scored, 38 homers, 160 RBIs and 25 stolen bases. Thompson has whiffed an amazingly bad 348 times already in the minors as he is starting to look like an all or nothing hitter.
