The Cubs have called up 26-year old righty Randy Wells to replace Zambrano in the starting rotation. He started 5 games in AAA-ball so far this season and he was 3-0 with a 2.77 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP. Wells has pitched in 4 games (0 starts) in his major league career to date and he is 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA and a 0.56 WHIP. The Cubs will miss Zambrano big time as he is one of the leaders of the pitching staff.
